There will be no Maths in Motion clubs next week (Monday and Thursday) and no sewing club or girls' football club on Tuesday due to parents' evenings and other school events. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Morning on Wednesday. Many visitors shared some wonderful comments about our school: "Brilliant morning. I got a good feeling about the school. Your children are amazing! A wonderful school - such polite and confident children. A very positive tour of the school - great to see such positive and engaged children." Our 'All the World's a Stage' Arts Week starts on Monday 16th October. Please see the letters section under news and events for more information.

360 Degree Safe
SWGfL,partners in the UK Safer Internet Centre, has unveiled a new-look to its award-winning online safety tool. The 360 degree safe self review tool, now used by more than 10,000 schools, is free to use and intended to help schools review their online safety policy and practice. It provides:

  • Information that can influence the production or review of online safety policies and develop good practice.
  • A process for identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • Opportunities for commitment and involvement from the whole school.
  • A continuum for schools to discuss how they might move from a basic level provision for online safety to practice that is aspirational and innovative.

The tool has undergone a major upgrade and the improvements will make it more secure, reliable and even easier for schools to use to manage their online safety. It also offers an accreditation scheme. Find out more at https://360safe.org.uk/Overview

Gallery Guardian App

This has been recommended by ESAS, please pass on to parents.

The Gallery Guardian looks at every picture your child takes or receives on their smartphone. Using a specially designed image recognition algorithm, Gallery Guardian automatically detects if the image includes nudity or not. In the unfortunate event an image contains something inappropriate, the app alerts you on your smartphone without disclosing or storing the image in question.
