PE and Sport at CSPA

Football

Our football coach and PE Coordinator provide football opportunities for both girls and boys. Football is part of our school curriculum as well as happening as part of extra-curricular clubs. We play competitively to a high standard in both league and cup competitions. We have very strong links with PFO, a football coaching organisation who also offer an additional club to families.

Table Tennis

Our coaches run table tennis clubs throughout the week both early morning and after school. In 2017/18, our girls and boys competed at the Zone Finals and the Regional Finals. Please see below for more information!

Gymnastics

Like Table Tennis, our Gymnastics Clubs run throughout the week and include girls, boys and an opportunity to try some vaulting. Our squad competes at a regional and national level and our mixed team are currently national gold medallists! Read more below...

Cross Country

Cross country club runs once a week and includes children from all year groups. Competitions are held 4 times a year in order for children to demonstrate their talent, fitness and wonderful team spirit!

Be Healthy Weeks

This year, our 'Be Healthy Weeks' have really grown and are now a highly anticipated week in our school. There now happen 3 times a year and incorporate so many things into encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.

Netball

Netball is always popular and we have a club that is run by another of our coaches. We play in many matches throughout the season and at the end, a county tournament! Our best finishing position has been 2nd!

Athletics

What a summer season of athletics - District Sports, County Finals and our very own Sports Day! Improvement of all children with their skills in athletics can be seen in all of of PE lessons as well as our club which involves 100 children! Sports Day in July is a firm favourite and demonstrates wonderful 'house' teamwork and leadership from our 'house' captains!
