Sport Funding at CSPA

 

Aims

  • To further increase participation in sport.
  • To further increase the success of competitive school sport.
  • To evaluate the inclusivity of our Physical Education and School Sport curriculum.
  • To develop the range of provisional and alternative sporting activities.
  • To show improvement in partnership work with other local schools and partners.
  • To develop links with other subjects which contribute to the pupils’ overall achievement and their greater social, spiritual, moral and cultural skills.
  • To provide greater awareness in pupils of the dangers of obesity, smoking and other such activities that undermine pupils’ health.

Dr Challoner's (DCHS) School Sport Partnership (£2900 per academic year)

  • Access to all sports festivals for all age groups across the Partnership.
  • Access to INSET/CPD courses provided by DCHS.

Youth Sport Trust (YST) membership

  • CPD opportunities
  • Access to website and useful information for national developments
  • Guidance on using sport and PE to raise attainment and achievement across the school.
  • Opportunity to apply for the Youth Sport Trust Mark.
