At CSPA we have developed a bespoke Assessment Strategy with our whole teaching staff which fits with our school's teaching and learning styles.
Based on targets, children use their "CSPA Steps To Success" booklets for reading, writing and mathematics to self-assess their understanding of each unit of work against the appropriate targets. Teachers monitor children's performance through their daily teaching and marking of work, together with test-type assessments to judge children's progress against the targets.
As the terms progress through a year, progress in meeting age-related expectations will be communicated to parents with a final report of performance delivered with the annual report in July.
