We are very pleased to have secured a place on the Mind Peer Mentor programme this year. This is a very exciting project which will involve training some Year 5 and 6 children to support other children on the playground and to be mental health ambassadors in the school.
This week (wc: 23.09.19) children were invited to apply for the position of Peer Mentor, we were very pleased to receive a huge number of interesting and thoughtful applications. The only way we have been able to choose the children involved is by pulling names from a hat and on Monday 30th we will announce the children who will become our first Peer Mentors. If your child applied and has been selected they will bring home a letter on Monday for permission to be given for them to attend the training.
We are really proud of all the children who applied, they all demonstrated our school values and are fantastic ambassadors of our school.
